Albanese also noted that according to Mendoza, Soto is dealing with quite a few aches and pains, including in the foot where he fouled off the ball, which he continues to get treatment for. He also has discomfort in his wrist when he swings and misses and has lingering elbow discomfort. However, per Mendoza, “As long as he’s not putting anything at risk, he’ll continue to play.” Sammon also reported that left-handed relief pitcher Anderson Severino now has a locker in the Mets clubhouse. According to Jon Heyman of the New York Post, former Met Tommy Pham has agreed to a minor league deal with the Orioles.
